Located on the North East coast of East Falkland the bay of Port William is the entrance to the principle port for the Falkland Islands; Stanley Harbour.

Often referred to as Port Stanley, Stanley Harbour is an enclosed bay that contains a number of designated anchorages and the Falklands Interim Port and Storage Solution (FIPASS) port terminal.

Port William itself also contains a number of designated anchorages and is used by larger vessels unable to transit The Narrows into Stanley Harbour.

Berkeley Sound lies to the north of Stanley and Port William. It has good holding ground and is frequently used for ship to ship transfer operations.

Fox Bay on West Falkland is also a designated port.

More information for Mariners visiting the Falkland Islands can be found in our Port & Harbours Information Booklet.
