18 March 2021 - The Falkland Islands to receive a third batch of Covid-19 vaccines
The Falkland Islands Government has received confirmation that it will receive a third batch of Covid-19 vaccines and, while the exact timing is yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated that these will arrive in the week beginning 22 March.
17 March 2021 - King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Covid-19 vaccination programme
The next phase of the KEMH Covid-19 vaccination programme will begin on 23 March 2021. This is for people who received their first dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine at the beginning of the vaccination rollout between 8–12 February 2021.
08 March 2021 - Falkland Islands Government extends Covid-19 financial support schemes
On Friday 5 March, ExCo approved the extension of the Job Retention Furlough Scheme and Unemployment Subsidy Scheme from March 31 2021 until 30 September 2021.
05 March 2021 - Covid-19 testing for FIG-funded students
The Falkland Islands Government is pleased to confirm that it will pay the costs of Covid-19 testing for FIG-funded overseas students who are travelling either northbound to the UK or southbound to the Falkland Islands.
22 February 2021 - The Falkland Islands receives second batch of Covid-19 vaccines
The Falkland Islands Government has received its second batch of Covid-19 vaccines, supplied by the UK government. These 2,200 doses arrived today via the South Atlantic Airbridge and are of the same Oxford/AstraZeneca type as the first batch received at the beginning of the month.
18 February 2021 - COVID-19 update: All restrictions to MPC to be lifted
