The Falkland Islands Civil Aviation Department has been working on a drone safety awareness campaign for operations within the Falkland Islands. Our work has taken the form of several leaflets and posters that will be available for download on our website. In addition to this, we have published the regulations from the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 2013 that relate to drone use in the Falkland Islands, as well as an interactive application form for aerial work/surveillance operations outside of the set conditions.

We believe that the Falkland Islands offer a unique opportunity for drone operators, with the acres of untouched wildlife, thousands of cruise ship passengers each year and businesses that continue to thrive, it seems only natural that drone operations would increase. It is for this reason that that Falkland Islands Civil Aviation Department has put so much work into this campaign, in the hope that drone operations continue to prosper in a safe and cautious environment.

Leaflets and posters can be found on the 'Downloads' page of our website.

Information regarding the regulations and application forms can be found on the 'Drones & SUAs' page of our website.
